Calendar auto-display first month w/ an event…

Is there a way to display a calendar for either all events that will display the next month containing an event instead of a hard-coded month or the current month?

Currently, the one way would be to hard code the month into the shortcode parameter. For example, if you want the first month displayed to be September, you’d add a month parameter to the calendar shortcode like this:

[ESPRESSO_CALENDAR month=9]
