Hello All, Have an issue that seems to be ongoing. We had/have events that show no one signed up, yet they did in fact sign up and were able to send payment. Our only way to check was looking in PayPal and seeing payments. Argh. They never received our custom email of the event, nor do we show any attendees at all signed up. It’s perplexing.. Hi there, I assume you are using the PayPal standard payment method? Do you have auto return enabled within you PayPal account? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/paypal-standard-payment-gateway/#enable-auto-return For users to show as finalized and trigger emails they must return to the thank you page after payment. Are you set on sticking with PayPal? The reason I ask is we deprecated PayPal standard in EE4 (I know your using EE3) due to how unreliable their IPN service can be. The same issues apply with EE3 as its the same integration but the alternative is to switch to using Stripe. |

Thank you, I’ll ask, but I thought they sent it through Stripe which is indeed enabled. “For users to show as finalized and trigger emails they must return to the thank you page after payment.” –But we aren’t showing anyone even attempted to sign up. It wasn’t until the client contacted us and said they sent payment. There wasn’t anything at all in the dashboard, not even an attempted sign up. So we checked the “bank”, which is PP, and sure enough a payment was setting there. Nothing to alert us something was wrong? |
|
Huh? You’re using Stripe through PayPal? Where do you see Stripe enabled? Can you add a screenshot: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots How did the user ‘send’ payment? |

Try this: https://snipboard.io/AdIql2.jpg |

and another, I see PP now: https://snipboard.io/Z5QrGI.jpg Is it we need to get rid of that one? |

Ok, after a good conversation with the President, and seeing what she was talking about with my eyes, we ran a series of tests, and yes PP failed a test purchase/registration. So we removed, and tested using only Stripe, everything registered and went through perfectly. Thanks! |

Awesome! I’m glad it worked for you using Stripe. Something I did notice whilst viewing your screenshots is your using W3 Total Cache, checking on your site I can see its caching EE registrations pages which can also contribute to this. You’ll need to exclude EE’s critical pages from caching, we have some info on this here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/ |
