Bug in Processing After Payment

It is not unusual for a participant to register and the payment symbol in the program to indicate payment is complete (with the green circle/check) when they have NOT made any payment. I just check each new registration against my Pay Pal account and manually adjust this so it hasn’t been too aggravating.

I had one participant register with the above situation (registration/no payment but green/payment indication) and another participant register AND PAY for 3 classes through Pay Pal, get listed on rosters for only one of the classes and this class has the notation with the yellow triangle and exclamation mark indicating payment is pending.

What is going on?

Hi Joan,

Which version of Event Espresso is installed? Also, which PayPal payment method is being used? (IPN or Pro).

Also, can you check the default payment status that is set in Event Espresso>General settings? It should be set to incomplete or pending?

default payment status = incomplete
paypal = IPN

as far as version, I sent the below to Garth back Feb 12th with no answer it so it is using…

Garth, All the addons are up to date. I am running 3.1.29.1P.

Before I risk loosing some of the customizations I have done, how can I preserve my edits since the \wp-content\uploads\espresso does not seem to cover them?

\wp-content\plugins\event-espresso\includes\functions\cart.php
\wp-content\plugins\event-espresso\includes\functions\email.php
\wp-content\plugins\event-espresso\languages\event_espresso-en_US.po

also why does my modified multi_registration_page_display.php and multi_registration_page.php in \wp-content\uploads\espresso not show on the “Current Template Files” under “Template Options” as moved and even existing?

Thanks

Dean

Hi Joan,

Regarding the preservation of customizations, the short answer is to back up Event Espresso and the uploads folder.

Basically any file that is not in the uploads folder will be automatically deleted when updating.

As such downloading a copy is advisable.

When the update is completed you will need to compare and contrast the original default files from the old version with the default files of the new version to ascertain if any changes have been made.

If they have then you will need to apply your customisations to the new files.

also why does my modified multi_registration_page_display.php and multi_registration_page.php in \wp-content\uploads\espresso not show

Unsure, but I concur it does not show, perhaps due to the rarity in these files being modified. I’ll raise a ticket on it but it may be some time before it is actioned as it will not be a high priority ticket.
