Hi there,

I’m thinking about installing BuddyPress to my website, do you know if BuddyPress is still compatible with last versions of Event Espresso? I read that problems were fixed in 2014 but I can’t find any other information about the compatibility between both plugins. what documentation do you recommend to read before I install it please?

Also I found this, is this still true to apply? https://github.com/eventespresso/eea-buddypress/blob/master/espresso-buddypress.php

Thanks in advance for your answer

The BuddyPress code you linked to hasn’t been maintained or tested for a while, but you’re welcome to use it as a starting point for your project. While BuddyPress can be run on the same site with Event Espresso, there isn’t currently any supported integrations that we support.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for you answer. I just wanted to check that EE and BuddyPress / bbPress are compatible. It seems that it is the case.
By the way, I understand that you don’t support integrations between these plugins but do you think your developers teams would be able to develop custom integrations for us?

For example, I think about one specific thing :
Each time there is a first registrant for an event, a group on BuddyPress is automaticcaly created composed by this registrant and the following registrants of the event. This will be very nice for the registrants because they could communicate eachother with pictures and chat before the event, creating a “group spirit” before the event.

Do you know if your developers teams could do this kind of customizations / bridges between these 2 plugins (EE and BudyPress)?

Thanks a lot

The developers that are listed here may be able to build something for you:

Hello Josh,
I just installed BuddyPress and I have the same question as the guy in this post: https://eventespresso.com/topic/ee4-buddypress/
I fact, I would like to install the BuddyPress registration and profile forms for all our users. Then, these users will register to events through the EE4 system. I’m looking for technical tips and technical bridges to ease this interation. Do you know if there are some documentation or other questions like this on the forum?
Thanks you very much in advance
