I’ve been getting nearly 100 seemingly bot submissions on wait list sign up forms. the wait list has a different sign up procedure than regular registrations. I have re-captcha installed for registrations but wait list is a pop up that only requires a name and an email. how can I secure this pop up so bots can’t register?
You can change the reCAPTCHA settings so it will protect the wait list signup. Here’s how:
1) You go to Event Espresso > Registration Form > Reg Form Settings
2) You set Invisible reCAPTCHA Protection to Ticket Selector
3) Set Theme to Invisible
4) Click Save
seems reCAPTCHA on ticket selector breaks registration on iphones with safari (maybe other phones too?). If I uncheck reCAPTCHA on ticket selector I am able to register via phone. Any suggestions?
thanks
I checked and I’m not able to replicate this on a testing site. May I ask did you have both “Ticket Selector” and “Registration Form” selected for “Invisible reCAPTCHA Protection” or was only “Ticket Selector” chosen for that setting?
Actually I can’t register on computers either. I hovered over the reCAPTCHA box and it says site key not enabled for invisible reCAPTCHA. I’m not seeing an invisible option on reCAPTCHA site. should I be using V2 or V3?
When you create a key it will ask you which version and integration type, you need v2 and Invisible.
