Hi,

I have my /blog/ page set to display my blog posts, however when I go to that URL on my site codingfortreasure.com/blog/ it resolves to http://www.codingfortreasure.com/thank-you-2/?e_reg_url_link=1-0d8301cf2a78b7d03a38708649f34268 instead of showing me the blog posts.

Thank you!

Hi Karen,

Are you clicking on a link to the /blog/ URL from a specific page? The reason I ask is because if I copy and paste the URL into my browser’s URL input, it’s opening the blog page.

That’s weird because when I copy & paste into my browser it goes to the thank you page. Maybe its a different experience for you because you haven’t registered for any events. Can you try registering for a free event and then go to /blog and see what happens – here’s a free one: http://www.codingfortreasure.com/events/robots-story-time/

Hi Karen,

Do you happen to have any plugins activated that can be used to set up URL redirects or track referral cookies?

Nope

Are you sure that the Landing Pages plugin doesn’t track cookies for its A B testing feature?

Oh yes I believe you’re correct. I tried deactivating but got the same issue.

With the Landing Pages plugin deactivated, can you go to WP > Settings > Permalinks and save the Permalinks settings? This will flush out any custom rewrite rules that the Landing Pages plugin adds.

Further to the above, the Landing Pages plugin sets a cookie for the Event Espresso Thank you page, which is causing the issue you’re seeing. After you deactivate the WP Landing Pages plugin, you can remove that cookie from your browser. The cookie you’ll be removing is the e_reg_url_link.
