Blank WP Dashboard after updating to EE 5.0

I updated the plugin EE Everything to 5.0 today and now when I try to go to my WP dashboard all I get is a White screen with a message from the EE plugin saying my session has ended and to login to be returned to the screen. Crazy! What’s up?

Hi,

Event Espresso isn’t actually up to version 5.0 yet (it’s currently on 4.9.75). WordPress is on version 5.0 now, so that might be what you’re referring to.

The message you mentioned isn’t something that sounds like a message from Event Espresso either. That could be a message from WordPress core. In which case you can troubleshoot by following this guide from WordPress.org:
