Our site was recently subject to a hacking and malware attack, and was subsequently rolled back to restore it and lock it down. Since the rollback, the Bill To field in our invoices is no longer displaying. The invoices used to be populated with the Company Name that is collected when people register for our events. We thought it could be related to an error message asking us to move the files to a different directory and set the permissions to 775, however this has not made a difference to the invoices. How do we reinstate the Company Name to display in the Bill To field of our invoices? |

If the Company name question is a custom question, you’ll want to use custom question answers in your templates: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/messages-system-shortcodes/ |

Thanks Garth. But where do I access the invoice template, to add this field? All the Support Forum docs I can find refer to Event Espresso > Messages, but I don’t have a Messages subfolder in my Event Espresso folder. |
|
Hi Nicole, You need to navigate the Invoice menu at the left (Event Espresso > Navigation) and there you can see the “Default Message Templates” at the top of the page. When you go to that tab you can see the Invoice template and there you can edit it as per your requirement. You can refer to this screenshot: https://tinyurl.com/2y5mvuje Hope that helps. |

Hi Sam, Thanks for the reply. I see now why I can’t find it – my Event Espresso navigation list looks completely different to your screenshot! I can’t see how to add a screenshot, but my options are: If I purchase a support token, are you guys able to fix the invoice for me? |

For better assistance, can you add your support license on your website. You can also send us your site URL, if you want it send it as private, you can do that. thanks |

EE4 Decaf is basically a limited version of EE4, so to switch from Decaf to Regular you need to go to Dashboard -> Plugins. De-activate EE4 Decaf. Download a version of Regular from your account page HERE (Make sure you download EE4 form the EE4 downloads section) The current version is Event Espresso 4 Core Regular v5.0.9.p Then in Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add new -> Upload plugin. Select the .zip file you just downloaded, install and activate. Now you have the latest version of Event Espresso Regular installed. Don’t forget to add your support key too. Check this article too. Thanks |

Ok, so you’re using EE3, not EE4/EE4 Decaf and that’s why it looks different to the above. EE3 is our legacy product and will eventually be phased out of support so whilst I do recommend you look into upgrading to EE4 we can get check into why your Invoices aren’t displaying the details to give you some time to do so.
If everything was rolled back (the files and the database) to a previous point, then the invoice would still be working as it was at that specific point, simply ‘rolling back’ to the previous backup wouldn’t cause this in itself. Looking over your invoice, the bill to details and primary registrant ID are missing and I suspect your running a custom Invoice template. Do you have FTP/File Manager access? If so check within Do you have an invoice directory in there? If so, temporarily rename that to say Now redownload an Invoice from your site, does it work? |

Sure, I can do the above with a support token but I’ll also need FTP access. If you purchase a support token then go to your account page you’ll see a link to redeem your token, click that and provide the requested details there and I’ll get this updated for you. |

I need to see the template file from the above location earlier.
If they can zip the invoice directory (if following the above instructions it will now be invoice2) and send that over I’ll take a look and go from there. They can use support[at]eventespresso.com |
