What is the best way to sell a recurring event through event espresso without having all of the dates for the event entered? I want to sell a 10 week class that people can start at anytime, but I don’t want to have all of the dates appear on the calendar.
You can create a category, like ‘calendar_show’, and add that to the calendar shortcode, like [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR event_category_id=”calendar_show-1394073550″]
I’m afraid I don’t understand. If I create an event with an end date far in the future, it automatically goes on the calendar, right? Is there any way to keep the event off of the calendar? In your example, what are the numbers after show-?

That is correct, however the Calendar can be passed a category parameter to display only the events within tat category. Such as the example Sindey gave:
The numbers on the end of the category ‘-1394073550’ are part of what form the ‘Category Identifier’. When creating categories if you leave the ‘Unique Category Identifier’ blank Event Espresso will randomly generate one for you. http://take.ms/Jz1h6
So I think what Sidney is suggesting it to create a category for the events that you would like to display on the Calendar. Then use a shortcode similar to the one above (only using your Unique Category Identifier) in place of the normal [ESPRESSO_CALENDAR] shortcode. That way, if you creat 20 events, but only 1 of those events is within that category that is the only event that will display.
Does that make sense?
