I’m looking for suggestions on the best way to accomplish what may be a unique use case. We have an event where we separate out the registration and meals as two different ticket types. We try to entice people to pre-register for the next year’s event by handing out paper forms for pre-registration for the following year. Anyone who turns in their form & payment by the end of the event gets the discounted rate and then their registrations are manually entered by someone on the online registration form at a later date.
When it gets closer to the next year’s event and the online registration goes live, we tell those pre-registrants they can now go pay for meals if they so choose. The issue this introduces, though, is we end up with two of the same person in our registration list, which ends up being a bit of a pain when trying to reconcile who has paid for what.
I was looking at the add-ons to see if there might be one that would be applicable to this situation and I saw the EE4 WP User Integration and thought it may be a possibility, but I wanted to see if there are other, more efficient ways than that before I buy the add-on.
Any ideas?

Hi Amy,
So your manually adding the registrants into EE, I’m assuming when the submit the paper form they also chose if they will have a meal then, so you know that information when manually adding the registrations?
The reason I’m asking is if you know when adding the registrations, you can select the correct ticket for the user when manually adding the registrant (so they have a meal ticket if they have opted to and not if they haven’t) and then when contacting them to say they can pay for the meals you could just trigger the pending payment email for the registrations.
That way they click the link in the email and pay for the registration you added, rather than adding their own registration matching yours.
Would that work?

The WP User Integration add-on basically links the registrations with the users account, for that to work with your setup you would need to log into each users account to add the registration(s).

Hi Tony,
Thanks for your response. Having them choose their meal option ahead of time might work for us. I have another question, but it’s a slightly different topic so I will start a new thread.
