I have an upcoming conference event where the primary registrant will be paying for conference fees and hotel via a ticket. They have the option of having a guest attend the event at a lower cost. I have added a guest ticket, description and price but is their a better way to do this? Also, how do I designate the main registrant’s ticket as a primary registrant and the guest ticket purchase as an additional registrant so I can ask the guest custom questions?

If you need to collect details for the guest ticket then no, this is the way you would need to do it.

Currently, we don’t have a way to designate tickets to be for the Primary, it’s the first ticket in the submission that will be used.
If the primary registrant ticket is a single choice, you can set that ticket to be required within EE so that the ticket is always going to be selected; then the additional ticket can be selected if needed.
Required tickets should be listed ‘first’ so they would then be considered the primary here (not officially, but that’s what should happen).
