We’re using event espresso to get bustrips to events in Europe.
Before we are create an live (paying) event on our website we need to know if there is enough interest in the trip.
Now we use facebook to get people attending, then if there are for example more than 25 people attending we’re creating an event on our website.
I think this could be done easier with the plugin, but the build-in Waitlist feature is only for events that are full.
is there any way we could use pre-registration in Event espresso or is someone using event espresso the same way we’re willing to use it?
In EE3 there’s a pre-approval feature that you can enable in the General Settings. Then you set the event to require approval in the event editor.
There’s also the equivalent “Not Approved” Default registration status in EE4.
With either of these approval statuses in effect, the registration form will capture attendee information, but not take them to a payment page until after they’ve been approved by an administrator.
