Hello,
Studying your documentation event espresso would perfectly match my needs. I installed the Lite version but would like to purchase. I tested via your recommended “Event Espresso Requirements Check”Plugin and it
“Passed with warnings….”
However I tried to built up an event and ended with the following error
”
WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘Admission’)’ at line 1]
INSERT INTO wp_events_prices (event_id, event_cost, surcharge, surcharge_type, price_type, member_price, member_price_type) VALUES (‘1’, ‘0.00’, ”, ‘flat_rate’, ‘General Admission’, ‘0.00’, ‘Membres d’Admission’)”
No other plugin is activated but it does not seem to matter. Is this an issue that will pass away with the purchased version or is it simlpy not compatible with my system? Thank you very much in advance for your answer
I will get this passed to the developers as I believe it is a known error with the translation files, the code does not like the extra ‘ in d’Admission. This should have been fixed in the premium version already.
In the short term, you could amend the language files using a program like Poedit to remove the apostrophes – not ideal but should get you going again.
