We have a nonprofit company that teaches classes in music, art, dance, and theater in elementary schools. Event Espresso looks like it could really help out. However, I have a few questions:
1) Our programs happen at 20-25 different schools. We charge different prices at different schools. Can we set different prices for identical classes based on the venue?
2) Approx 1/3 of our student still register by check at the venue. Can we easily add these students to the system ourselves?
3) What kind of reports can be generated from the event registrations? Can we view the rosters by class? venue? answers to questions (like find me all of the trumpet players)?

Here is feedback on your questions:

Pricing is currently set on a per-event basis. Pricing cannot currently be adjusted by the venue that is connected to the event.
2) Approx 1/3 of our student still register by check at the venue. Can we easily add these students to the system ourselves?
Yes, Event Espresso supports multiple payment methods so you could offer an online payment method such as PayPal and then an offline payment method like check / money order. You can manually add an attendee through the WP dashboard for an event.
3) What kind of reports can be generated from the event registrations? Can we view the rosters by class? venue? answers to questions (like find me all of the trumpet players)?
Event Espresso allows you to filter registrants/attendees by event. You could then export a registration CSV file for each event. This can then be opened in Excel, Numbers, Google Spreadsheets or an equivalent program.
