Hi Event Espresso,

I am running a walking tour organizer website based on wordpress. I tried a couple of event registration/ticketing plugins, but non of them had all the features I needed
I am looking for a plugin, which can do the followings:
– handle more events up to 30
– translateable to hungarian
– I can embed the event booking form in my existing event page:
http://www.hosszulepes.org/event/details/hazfoglalo-budapest/
(you can find a form now at the bottom, thats just able to register the customers.)
– The customer can choose between buying the tickets online (cheaper), or pay by cash at the location.
– setting a limit for the different tickets, and the event itself too.
– Paypal checkout
– I can export the attendees in .csv or .xls
– Different email messages (sent to the customer after buying/booking the ticket) for the different tours
– no registration needed for buying/booking a ticket

I hope, your plugin has this features, or there is an add-on for that.

Thank you very much!
Regards
Peter

Hello,

handle more events up to 30

Yes, Event Espresso can handle more than 30 events. As many as you wish, within server limitations of course.

translateable to hungarian

It is translatable and we already have a 50% Hungarian translation of the plugin – https://eventespresso.com/features/languages/

I can embed the event booking form in my existing event page:
http://www.hosszulepes.org/event/details/hazfoglalo-budapest/
(you can find a form now at the bottom, thats just able to register the customers.)

Yes if you don’t want to use the default Event, then you can use shortcodes to embed the form into the post/page you wish to use. The event will still be created but you can simply not link to it.

The customer can choose between buying the tickets online (cheaper), or pay by cash at the location.

We don’t have a specific “cash only” gateway, but many users have changed the text of the Cheque/money order gateway to allow this.

setting a limit for the different tickets, and the event itself too.

Event limits are a default setting. We have an experimental feature for limiting each ticket type’s numbers. It generally works, but as it is experimental it will not currently function with the Multiple Event Registration plugin (the cart plugin).

Paypal checkout

Yes, and PayPal Pro and about 30 other gateways.

I can export the attendees in .csv or .xls

Yes you can. It exports on a per event basis, or every attendee.

Different email messages (sent to the customer after buying/booking the ticket) for the different tours

Yes, there are 3 levels of emails currently: a site wide email that will apply to each event automatically, an email manager where you can create email templates and apply them to each event individually, and even a per event event which is local to that event only.

no registration needed for buying/booking a ticket

Depends what you mean here. If you mean no need to register for the site, then yes, no registration is required.

However the purchaser will always need to give at least their first and last names and email address when purchasing the ticket (registering for the event), that is the absolute minimum required for the plugin to function.

I hope that helps but if you have more questions or need clarification please let me know.

Thank you for the detailed answer!

I applied for testdrive the plugin, and everything looks good, I think, the Event Espresso is going to be the solution for my problem.
I have now just one question left:

1. Can I customize the embedded events like my wordpress theme?

Thank you very much!

Hi,

No problem.

It depends on what you mean by “customise like my wordpress theme”.

If you mean the CSS style, then the events are styled with jQuery Themeroller by default. This can be turned off in the settings. When Themeroller is turned off, there is some basic CSS but this can be over ruled by your own CSS.

You will obviously need to know some CSS or have a web designer look at it for you.

If you meant the structure of the events then yes they can be modified too, but you would have to dig into the PHP templates in order to do this.
