Batch Messages, delayed sending

Hello
Any batch messages we send to registered attendees are delayed in being sent until Monday 9am rather than immediately. How do we fix this?

Hi there,

If you go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Settings (tab)

You’ll find the option ‘Generate and send all messages’

Is that currently set to ‘On separate request’? If so change it to ‘On same request’ and retest.

By default EE will use a message queue system that needs users to visit the site in order to work through the queue, theres no specific delay as such but if your site is not getting many hits the messages will take longer to work through the queue.

If you are still getting a delay after changing the above option the delay could be from your mail server as EE builds out the content of the emails and then passes them to your server to do whatever it is configured to do with them. If the mail server has a lot of emails in the queue it can take a while for them to work through those.
