Hello,

I have my first event with event espresso starting next Monday and I would have sent a batch message to all subscriber.

But it’s not working.

No mail is sent… Event when I am looking in the “associated message” from a customer, I can only seen the registration’email. Noting about the batch message I have sent twice!

I can add that every other message are working great.

So… where is the problem.

Thanks for your help.

Phil

Hi Phil,

How many batch emails are you sending in a single step?

If you go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Message activity

Can you see the batch messages at all in the queue?

Try adding a single registration to an event using your own email and send a single batch email to that registration, does that one work?

Ohhh…

Now I’ have understood thant I put the message in a queue…

Then you must generate the message

And finally send it…

It’s working, but it is not so “user friendly”… 🙁

Thanks for your help.

Best regards

Well, yes and no.

When you trigger messages they are added to the queue, but you should not need to manually generate the message and send it yourself after its been added to the queue.

How long was it after your triggered the batch messages that you opened the above thread?

The message system works on WP Cron, so you queue up a message to generate and after a few minutes (by default its ~5 mins) if you hit the front end of the site it will trigger the WP cron job to step through the queue, then again to send.

If that’s not happening there could be an issue with WP Cron on your site/server.

Well..

It’s not working automaticaly…

I can say that I have a WP Cron problem.

Thanks anyway for the explanation.

If you’d like to work through WP Cron we can help troubleshoot if you would like?

Failing that if you go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Settings

There is a setting for ‘Generate and send all messages:’ set that to ‘On same request’ and EE will not use WP Cron any more, note that if you do this, depending on the size of your batch message groups you may need to split them down into smaller groups when sending to prevent a timeout.

Hi,

I’ve checked the Settings, but nothing wrong.
I’ve installed WP-Cron to check the scheduled cron event.

I don’t know exactly where could be the problem…
Could JetPack creat some problem with the cron ?

I’ve checked the Settings, but nothing wrong.

Which settings? What have you checked?

I’ve installed WP-Cron to check the scheduled cron event.

Can you provide more details here, which plugin?

Could JetPack creat some problem with the cron ?

Possibly, or WP Cron may have been disabled on your site, there’s a lot of possibilities currently.

Well…

Wp-Cron was installed afte the beginning of our chat.
It’s juste a supervising plug-in.

I’m going to plug off JetPack and try again.

We keep in touch.
