Batch Imported users not showing properly in Mobile Ticketing app

When I bulk import attendees using the Attendee Batch Import tool They show up fine in the web iterface, but when browsing for the users manually in the Event Espresso HD mobile app the initial listing of the attendee shows up as blank and the attendee information is only available by going further into the interface via the “Additional Attendees” section under the attendee listing.

In essence, it appears to the mobile app that the people who are imported via the batch upload tool are not the primary attendee, but rather they are an additional attendee. I’m not 100% certain, but it appears that there are entries that should be created in the prefix_events_attendee_meta table, but they batch import tool is not doing so.

I can provide pictures or video of this phenomenon if required.

Hi John,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It looks like you are right about it being a primary issue. I’ll get a ticket raised to examine this more closely.

Once this is pinpointed if you could share the changes that need to be made to the DB I would greatly appreciate it. I have about 2000 attendees that I need to import over the next few days and while I’m not going to wait for a fix to the import add-on, it would be very helpful to fix the DB records so that the people handling ticketing at the door to the event don’t need to dig down on every manual check-in. (the event is in a little over 2 weeks.)

For what it’s worth I do database administration as part of my day job, so I’m very comfortable making and testing the changes to the database on a backup copy.

Hi John,

It should be a case of changing the is_primary column of the PREFIX_events_attendee table from 0 to 1.
