Hi All,

My Customer want to see who is checked in on the event.
But the scanning via the smartphone app is to slow.
Is it possible to connect 2 professional scanners to an PC and start scanning?
And how does it work then.
And what should I do to make it work?

So the Steps are as follow’s we want.
1. People book their tickets.
2. People bring their printed tickets to the event
3. At the desk their are 2 scanner’s “Motorola DS9208” USB connected to PC
4. When event is started We can get a list who is their (I know how to export)

Hi,

EE3 cannot use barcode scanners, just the mobile app.

EE4 uses barcode scanners, there is no mobile app for it. For more info on the EE4 barcode scanner addon see here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/barcode-scanner-add-on/

As such if you wanted to use scanners, you would need to swap over to EE4.

Hi, Thanks for your reply.
So I will do an upgrade.
If I understood is that when I have this add-on I can connect my barcode scanner and go to an page and scan the tickets.
But can I use multiple barcode scanner because we expect many people an we don’t want have big queues.

And where can I find the download of this Add-On, because it is mentioned as add-on in EE4 but when I click on the add-on it tells it is included in the EE3 Business License. I have an Business License.

Hi,

The addons are now available in your account page.

As far as I’m aware it’s one scanner per logged in user per computer, but it might be possible to use multiple scanners per computer/user.
