Hello,
We have the barcode add on installed on our website and are looking to purchase scanners. I just want to make sure we buy the proper scanners. Right now we are looking at the 2D scanners as we’d like to scan off cellphones. Most of the times our events are held where there is no wifi. My question is can we run the barcode scanner add on and use the scanner without an internet connection? Or do they need internet or data to work? Thanks!

Hello,
The barcode scanner retrieves information from your website in real-time. If there is no Internet connection available at the event site, then unfortunately it won’t be able to access the information that it needs for a check-in.
