Backend payment processing

Will you guys consider re-evaluating the decision not to support payment processing on the back end? This is a major hangup for a couple of my clients and small businesses really expect to be able to handle all matters of ticket sales when they are asking for this functionality on their website. Other solutions like the shopping carts they are used to, invoicing systems they use, etc all allow processing of manual payments by an admin and so it’s really hard to convince them why this isn’t feasible here.

Plus, the extra steps needed to process cards in a virtual terminal, note the transaction details, and then copy them into the EE backend mean there is a change of ending up with lost transaction details (or worse, lost charges.)

I completely understand the initial reasons not to implement it, but, the reality of small business/nonprofit conditions mean it is big enough of a problem that my two biggest clients are asking me to find another solution that supports it. 🙁

Hi Joe,

We appreciate the feedback and this is something that we are considering for later this year and we are currently working on a few other things including Event Espresso 4.9, automated messages, new payment gateways, and some other add-ons.
