is there an easy way of modifying the action of the waiting list button for the already logged in users. The pop up window does not make to much sense if a user is already logged in…. I would like it if when a logged in user presses the waitinglist button the name and email of that specific user are already taken from the database and a new subscription is filled out using those credentials.

We have added that functionality to an upcoming release of our WP_User addon since that already had all of the required logic for connecting the dots between WP Users and Event registrants. So if that plugin is active and a user is logged in, it will populate the Wait List Sign Up form with their details.
