Whn updating Event Espresso after the latest WP upgrade, I got the following message on my Dashboard:

An error has occurred:
There were errors creating the Event Espresso database tables and Event Espresso has been deactivated. To view the errors, please enable WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php file.

How can I install the correct version and fix this issue?

Thank you.

Hi there,

You can download the current version of Event Espresso from your account page. You may already have the current version though so there may be no need to reinstall. Can you activate WP_DEBUG then try reactivating Event Espresso?

I did, I activated WP_DEBUG, deactivated event espresso and activated it again, and still got the same error. I did have the latest version installed. So how do I proceed?

Can you install the Health Check plugin, then check its page on the WP Dashboard and get the version of mySQL that your site is using?

hey @eusseve2004, if possible, seeing how Event Espresso is reporting something is wrong with your database, it would be helpful if we could get in there and inspect it. Can you provide us with temporary WordPress admin credentials? If so please fill in the details here: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/
