I have a question about exporting attendees automatically. Our association runs multiple events with different members running different events. I don’t want to have to give admin access to everyone who is running a class. Right now I have to wait until the event closes (which is usually the day of the event) and then manually create the export and send it to the person running the event.
I’m wondering if
1) does EE support automated exports? Can we schedule them and/or specify recipient?
2) Is there a way one can trigger the attendee export without going into the admin interface?
3) if not, do you have any advice or pointers on how to automate this myself? (i.e. create a php file that runs and calls the same function the export button does, but saves the file locally?, or maybe just a sql export and local save? I’m thinking i could have a URL that would trigger an export of attendees for an event and give that URL out to the event organizer along with a password or event code or something.)
Thanks in advance for any direction.
For reference, I’m running 3.1.15P. I’ve had too many active events to do an upgrade, but will be able to in November.
Currently EventEspresso doesnt support automated exports natively, but it is something that has been requested a few times recently, so I have escalated it in our feature request system. If/when it will be implemented is of course unknown.
The event-espresso/includes/functions/export.php controls the export of the excel file, you may be able to hook into those functions.
