We have recently installed the automated upcoming events plugin and wanted to know if it’s possible to only send these messages to certain attendees based on a certain criteria in their response – eg only send it out to an attendee if their anwser to a certain field is Option1 or Option2 but not the other options. Is that possible?

Hi there,

Currently not no, the reminder is sent to all ‘Approved’ registrations on an event and it is not possible to conditional change that as this time.

Technically, it is possible to do it, but you’ll need custom development to do so.

You’ll need custom code to hook in an prevent the ‘extra meta’ value saved when n event (or datetime) is processed as the add-on adds a field to the database to save when an event/datetime has been processed.

You’ll then need custom development to work out some way to allow multiple ‘schedules’ for the notifications to send as it’s saved within the template as an event only allows a single template to be assigned to it (or global if one hasn’t been assigned).

So in short, yes, it’s possible but it’s going to take a significant amount of custom work to get it to work that way.
