Automated Reg. Email Response: Location and Phone = Empty

Hello,

Where does the automated reg. email pull the location, location phone and google map link info from?

Those fields are blank in my test reg. confirmation emails.

Please advise. Thank you.

Hi Ronald,

Those are pulled from the Venue attached to the event.

Also if you are not using the Venue manager I would recommend using it as it makes adding/updating/editing venues much easier. You can enable it using Event Espresso -> General Setting. Set ‘Use Venue Manager’ to Yes and update the settings.

Then you can add a Venue in the menu manage (Event Espresso -> Venue Manager) and assign the Venue to your events.

Thank you so much, Tony. Got it!

Also, in the Venue manager, just having trouble linking to the “Image/Logo URL”. The logo doesn’t show up anywhere. I don’t know if I’m using the wrong URL or if .jpgs are not acceptable.

I’m having the same problem for the Invoice payment gateway. I can’t get a valid logo URL to link to and appear on the invoice as well.

Please advise.

Tony, I see that I can accomplish this goal via the “General Settings.” But when I try to upload the logo there, I can’t figure out how to set it or mark it as the image to be used for the logo, which is probably why the logo does not show up anywhere (invoice, registration page, etc.).

Please advise.

Are you sure that you have the php GD image manipulation library installed? Try running this code:

$info = gd_info();
var_dump($info);

It does not have to be run within wordpress. You can make a file called test.php in your webroot, put that code in it , and load it in the browser.

Not sure. But I do know that I have my logo uploaded in the Media Library. How do I proceed from there?

Company logo: add your logo here to enable branding of your invoices, tickets, certificates and payment templates. We recommend that the image be 400px or less.

Hi Ronald,

Can you try going into the Media Library, go to edit the image, then in the Save box on the right copy the file URL to the clipboard (highlight>right click>copy)?

Then you go to Event Espresso>Payment Settings and paste the URL into the “Logo Url” field. Then you click Update Invoice Payment Settings.

Hey Josh.

I did what you said but when I go to download the PDF invoice on the Payment Overview page, this is the message I get:

FPDF error: Missing or incorrect image file: http://www.hdihawaii.com/sitebuild/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/image001.jpg

The URL is good. This is where I’m getting confused. The logo is within the proper dimension limits and is a jpg. Could it be the name of the logo is the problem?

Please see if you get the same message on your end by doing a mock registration on the test/dev site below and then attempt to download the PDF.
