Automated Notification does not send email

Hello,

I’ve followed the setup documentation on this page and created a event that would take place on August 6th. I registered myself as attendee on August 4th, but I did not received a email on August 5th (1 day before event will take place) that would remind me about the event.

The only thing that I know of that could be the problem is that I cannot set the email template as active. When activating the toggle and saving the page, it is still disabled after reloading the page. In this image I show what toggle I am referring to.
However, in the database I can see the property mtp_is_active is set to 1.

Did I miss something in setting up the Automated Notification add-on? The other emails work perfectly fine, like signing up for the wait list.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Which specific version number of Event Espresso 4 (the core plugin) are you using, please?

The ‘Event’ notification will only be triggered for the ‘first’/earliest datetime on an event, all others will be ignored.

Are you testing using the earliest datetime?

However, in the database I can see the property mtp_is_active is set to 1.

Just because it’s an easy thing to miss, have you double-checked that the mtp_is_active value you are checking is for the correct message template ID and message context?

Thanks for the fast reply.

We are using the version dev version (4.12.0.rc.001). I created a event with only 1 date and 1 type of ticket.

And I have double-checked the database. The mtp_is_active is set to 1. See rows:
`
(GRP_ID, MTP_user_id, MTP_name, MTP_description, MTP_messenger, MTP_message_type, MTP_is_global, MTP_is_override, MTP_deleted, MTP_is_active)
(6, 1, ”, ”, ’email’, ‘automate_upcoming_event’, 1, 0, 0, 1)
(7, 1, ”, ”, ’email’, ‘automate_upcoming_datetime’, 1, 0, 0, 1)
`
