Hi,
We have setup the new payment method Authorize.net Accept under Payment Methods in Event Espresso and enabled sandbox mode to test the event registration but after clicking the Pay button nothing is happening and just showing the Processing but in console seeing the error like “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 550 ()Understand this errorAI
main.bundle.js:1 Other Error Occurs: Response with status: 550 OK for URL: https://test.authorize.net/Payment/Api.ashx”
We’ve had a few reports of this issue (it affects some users and not others) so have decided to extend the payment method deprecation deadline to April 15th 2025.
Please update to the latest version of Event Espresso (5.0.32.p or above) to allow Auth.net AIM to continue to work
We have reached out to Authorize.net about why some people run into this situation and why other people do not have any problems. We are waiting to hear back from Authorize.
Authorize.net support informed one user over the phone that several updates in early February likely corrupted API keys for some users. They suggested that clients regenerate the key if they encounter validation issues. This can be investigated further by viewing any E00007 errors while attempting to make a payment or visiting the Event Espresso payment logs in: Event Espresso > Payment Methods > Logs (tab).
