Just purchased EE4 and tried to setup some events but all of the event pages are showing a code with the author’s name and various codes behind it on the top left corner of the event pages
Such as: rockysingular single s-author-none”>
Just can’t figure out why this is appearing
Also the calendar addon is not displaying. Just the month but nothing under it. I have tried each shortcode and they are all doing the same

Hi Larry,

Event Espresso 4 uses your sites theme to output the event details, so the code at the top of the pages is likely something odd within the single.php template file.

Can you link me to one of your events so I can view this please?

Also can you provide a link to the page with the EE Calendar on so we can investigate this.

Hi,

Some of our code is being output in the wrong place, due to a theme conflict.

The theme is using the_post() function in a very odd place. I’m wondering if this is an error by the theme author.

The file /wp-content/themes/evolve/library/extensions/semantic-classes.php, line 121 (in the free version) has the_post(), but it seems to be random as removing it causes no noticeable ill effects and it does stop the random text from appearing.

There is no way to fix this, barring removing that line of code.
