Hi there, I’ve recently started using the “multiple event times function” to simplify registrations when I have two classes running on the same evening, at different times. However, I noticed a change in how this function handles available event spaces – particularly, it includes attendees with an incomplete payment status in the event time drop-down menu. This means that if I have set the quantity for each time slot to 6 participants, and I get 3 registrants and 3 incomplete payments, the drop-down no longer appears because it assumes that the class is full (although I still have 3 available spaces). Note: I set the “overall limit”, on the right-hand bar to 12 (the total amount for each time-slot), and I noticed this is behaving correctly – it shows the actual number registered, both in the back end (ie. 3/12 attendees) and in the front end (ie. availble spaces: 9) |
Hi Irene, I created a ticket for this to be addressed. In the meantime, I can suggest creating separate events for each event time while we work on a solution. |

Hi there, |
I don’t have any updates to give on the status of the ticket. You might try closing this event and setting up a wait list event as directed here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-a-waiting-list-for-your-event/ |

This is the exact same thing that is happening to my client! And she has so many different times that her classes are offered that to ask her to make them each an event would be, ah… difficult. We’re only running Version 3.1.15.P on a WP 3.3 Any additional progess on this issue? |
No updates. All that I can further suggest is, if you have incomplete registrations that are taking up the spaces, these can be removed to open the slots back up. Setting up a waitlist event is also suggested. |

We’re still having A LOT of these, it’s happening all the time and my client is spending so much of her time managing this – she’s getting very frustrated. Isn’t there some way that this can be fixed? |
Hi Shelly, We’ve looked into this and have found that it will not be possible to fix this in 3.1. The time slots limit featured was added and labeled as an experimental feature. It can work under very limited use cases (like free events). If the event time slot requires limits, I can recommend setting up an event for each time slot. We’ll be able to address this in Event Espresso 3.2 so that time slots will have limits that can hook into the payment status. |
