Attendee was not successful in registering but somehow paid

We had a situation at our event this evening, where at least (3) people showed up that proved that they had paid (was verified in our Paypal account) but there registration showed that their status was ‘Incomplete’. How can this happen?

Hi Jonathan,

Which version of Event Espresso 3 are you using?

If you look within the registration, what are the values for the amount owing and amount paid to date fields?

Using Version 3.1.37.6.P

Values for amount owing states: $60.00
Total Amount Paid states: $0.00

However, Paypal registered the payment for $60.00

Something like this can happen if your server is blocking the payment response from PayPal. Here’s a link to the troubleshooting guide for using PayPal with Event Espresso:
