In recent updates we reduced the number of events that are loaded at once in the Event Overview and Attendee Reports pages.
If you look on the left above the event/attendee lists, there is a Retrieve button next to a drop down. By changing the dropdown to All (or specific number) and hitting the retrieve button it will get everything from the database and the search will function correctly.
Whilst we know this is an extra step, it helps with performance for those with large event/attendee numbers.
