When I filter the Attendee Report page so it is showing only the attendees for active events, and then click the Export to Excel button, I still get every single attendee that signed up for any event in our EE history in the Excel file. It appears that there are parameters in that link that include the options I included in the filter drop-downs (such as month, category id, etc), but yet the file it generates has too much data.
Is there a way to fix this, or is it perhaps, already fixed in the most current release? We are running EE Version 3.1.31.3.P and plan to update after our fall classes start, but would really like to generate accurate class attendee lists now! Can you help, please?
The best way to do this is drill down to the specific event’s attendees by clicking the Attendees link in the Event Overview list. Then, you can export the attendees for the individual event.
Well, that can help, but we have hundreds of classes. I looked at the export.php code and I see places where it is supposed to be modifying the query based on _REQUEST variables… yet it does not actually appear to be doing the filtering. Maybe I’m looking at the wrong queries?
Did it ever function such that the export was of the currently viewed query?
No the export function is not currently filterable, it will export all event data or just a single events data. It has been requested and it is something we will be looking into, but I cannot say when, as we are focusing on 4.X currently.
