Do you have a best practice for setting up registration forms when the Primary Registrant may or may not be attending the class?
We’re using Event Espresso for people to attend law enforcement classes. Sometimes they register themselves, but many times a Training Coordinator (who is not attending) registers people. I’m not sure if Training Coordinators should be the Primary Registrant, since that assumes the Coordinator is attending the class.
Do you have any recommendations? Is there an add-on that might take care of this?
Currently Event Espresso does not separate the ‘purchaser’ from the Primary registrant by default, it is possible to do but will require some work to setup how you need it to.
The way to set this up is to add some additional questions to the ‘Primary Registrant’ question groups requested on the events. This could be another question group, lets say ‘Purchaser’ with question such as Purchaser Email, Purchaser First Name, Last name etc.
The user can then enter the details and you can use those answer for the messages system so you send the ‘Payment’ emails to the ‘Purchaser Email’ they set.
There is a slight issue with the above in that purchasers that ARE the attendee will need to enter the details twice (once for the purchaser questions, and again for the Primary registrant).
I can provide further details on setting this up, but would that work?
