Attendee registration counts are incorrect

We are having issues with attendee registration counts matching up to how many tickets are actually sold. For example, we have a class that has 3 date times with a maximum of 6 spots for each class. We have sold 3 spots (approved registrations) for the first datetime (0 for the rest) but it shows we have sold 5 under the first datetime and that we’ve sold 4 tickets/3 registered. There are no pending or abandoned registrations. This has been happening pretty frequently and it throws off our available spots on our website.

If that’s the old PayPal Standard gateway, then the solution will be to stop using that one and instead, use PayPal Express or the new PayPal Express check with Smart Buttons.

The problem with PayPal Standard is it doesn’t reliably update the registration sold counts.

You can use your same PayPal account with the newer PayPal offerings. Here are links to the documentation for each of them:

Thank you! I’m sure it’s the standard-PayPal express does not sound familiar. We will look into it!
