We are using the Attendee Mover Plugin on our website.

We moved a customer from an event on Nov. 26, to an event on Dec. 5. This customer now shows up as an attendee of the Dec. 5 event (yay!) But when you view the Nov. 26 event the customer still shows up there.

Is there a way to fix this?

An attendee record can only be assigned to one event, which is the event_id field of that record. Unless you are using the development version of the attendee mover, which has a copy attendee function that actually makes a duplicate copy of the attendee record and assigns it to the new event. It is possible that there were two duplicate attendees on the old event, and that only one of them was moved to the new event.

Hi Sidney, I do not believe there was a duplicate in the original event. My client has outlined that they selected a new event, and checked move attendee. The plugin is just as we downloaded it, and it appears it duplicated/copied it rather then moved the attendee.

The regular version in the pre-release channel just updates the attendee record with the new event id. I don’t think there’s any way it can make a duplicate. It’s possible that they navigated using the back button, and were seeing a browser-cached copy of an admin page. If you can duplicate the behavior, let us know what steps it took.

I think I understand the issue a little better.

The customer was moved from one event to another.
But When you search for the customer (attendee) name, in the all attendees list she is listed there as registered for both.

When you go to the individual ones, she is in the proper. But the list shows both. DB shows both to.

Side note, the search seems really buggy. For a while I couldn’t even search for this attendee in All Attendees, nothing came up. Then a Clicked on Event Overview again, then all attendees and did it again and she came up … Why would this happen?

To follow up on this, still waiting for a reply – its been around a week.

When we move an attendee, then view their record (showing new event) the date still shows the event they were moved FROM, and the confirmation email shows previous date as well.

Hi Al,

We have an outstanding ticket to resolve the date issue, I will upgrade it’s priority level.

Is there any way I can be contact as soon as it is fixed? This is quite important. Either the ticket updated, or contact me via email.

For example, can I *just* update export.php?

Ignore that last post. Wrong thread.

I added a note to the ticket. However I cannot say when the ticket will be resolved, we have different priority levels for tickets, which affect the developers work loads.

Is there somewhere I can check back to see if its complete, or will it simply be the newer release of that plugin?

It has been added to the development version of the attendee mover add-on, which will be the next version of the add-on. If you want to try it now, you can download it here. This version also has an option to copy the attendee to a new event.
