Attendee Mover addon not sending messages

I’ve found that the Attendee Mover addon is not sending the required messages, even if you use the default YES to have the system generate messages. All other messages are sending as they should as far as I can tell. A search of the forums show that the problem with Attendee Mover was reported last year and was indicated to be a known issue. I was able to go back to the registration and use the email icon to regenerate the messages but we had some upset attendees until I figured that out. Can you tell me if this was fixed and I just don’t have an update? Thank you.

Hi there,

This was actually fixed and the fix was included in the 1.0.2 release of the Attendee mover. If you’re running that version and the current version of Event Espresso 4, then you could check the Messages Activity right after moving an attendee. Right after you move the attendee is there a new message added to the Message Activity list?

Thanks Josh – I have v1.02 of Attendee Mover and v4.9.61 of EE. I did check the Message Activity list and the messages were not in there. Once I realized they weren’t sent, I processed another moved registration, making certain that I had messages sent to Yes but the messages still were not sent. It wasn’t until I went back in to the new registration and cancelled registration and used the mail icon to send that they finally went through and appeared in the Message Activity screen.

That’s strange. May I ask is the Registration Approved message type set to go to the Primary Registrant only? or is it set to go to the Registrant only?

Hi Josh – Both Registration Approved and Registration Pending Payment messages are set to only go to the Primary Registrant. All attendees that were moved required an additional payment and should have received the Pending Payment notice as well as the ticket cancellation notice. One of the registrations had only one attendee in the initial order but did have a tickets to two separate functions within the event (main event and workshop A). The other registration had two attendees and each attendee had tickets to two separate functions within the event (main event and workshop A). All were moved from Workshop A to Workshop B. Once I manually sent the Pending Payment emails and the balances were paid, the Registration Approved message went out automatically.

I misspoke earlier, the related fixes was part of some work that was actually included in the 1.0.3 release of the Attendee mover. You could try updating to the latest version of the Attendee Mover, the related issues were affected by the registration status not being updated correctly when moving to another event. The registration status update does affect which messages get sent.

Thank you for the update. I’ve just manually updated the plugin but I don’t have any moves to process now to be able to test it. Will let you know if I run in to any issues down the road.
Thanks again.
