Attendee Limit Toggle Not Limiting Attendees

Hello —

We recently started using the ability for people to register multiple people at a time… and are having issues.

We have set up the limits to a max of seven people. The calendar attendee count shows the right amount of available spaces, and when people go to register for an event it shows the correct attendee limit on the Additional Attendee Toggle. However, a person registering for an event can click the button for up to the max limit of attendees — even if there are only three (or whatever) spaces left.

Example: There are 7 total spaces for an event. 4 have already been sold. Attendee count is correct and toggle says that there are three spaces left. However, customer can add up to 7 attendees.

We had a problem earlier that the Attendee Toggle wasn’t toggling and purchased a support token and Dean remedied it. At the time, when we tested Dean’s fix, everything seemed to be working. We haven’t changed anything on the site, so am not sure what is happening.

If you could take a look, it would be greatly appreciated. This is causing major mayhem for my client.

Hi Melissa,

I think this is an issue with the additional attendee dropdown that needs to be fixed. The dev team will need to fix this and it will need to go through testing before the fix can be released.

In the meantime is it possible to se the Additional Attendee Registration Info option to “No Info Required” ? This option uses a “Number of Ticket” select box that doesn’t allow for more spaces to be selected than what’s currently available.

Thanks for getting back in touch, Josh. I just tested the No Info Required workaround and it seems to work. It’s not the perfect solution (as we need every attendee to receive a confirmation email with important details, etc.), but it will probably do until we can get a fix.

Marking as resolved due to workaround and developer ticket being in place to fix this.
