Regarding this:
https://eventespresso.com/topic/check-ins/

We really need some sort of resolution. One of the major reasons we went with Event Espresso is because of the check-ins and reporting features. We are having issues currently where the csv shows any number of values for a single ticket event with one allowed checkin. If the system is setup as indicated in my first post, then it still doesn’t make sense to me..because if I’m allowing someone to buy one ticket to an event, why is it allowing them to be checked in multiple times?

This is apart from the “checked-in by mistake” issue. I was thinking about that one, and perhaps there could be a different button that would “uncheck-in”…I do understand the technical issue with messing with the number and unchecking, etc….so….perhaps the separate button to “uncheck-in” would be better than trying to mess with the counts.

What’s happening with us is that we are getting counts that are above 1…and the person doing the reporting has to always check on why this is occurring….it’s leading to a lot of extra work. It’s not evident whether someone checked in someone by mistake and then tried to uncheck them and then checked them in legitimately later, or whether they tried unsucessfully to un-check them in several times in a row….so each case has to be investigated. We have a lot of people checking people in…a lot of our attendees are disadvantaged and have either language or education barriers that make check-in difficult to start with. Thank you for any assistance with this (or even if you have any suggestions to get us by until a solution can be reached).

What I meant to say is that that “uncheck-in” button would just zero out the check-in count. That would fix our isssue and not mess with your needs for the multiples in other cases.

Because it allow for checking in, checking out, then checking in. Along with that, when you check out a ticket, it doesn’t negate the fact that they had earlier been checked in.

You can delete the check in rows if you want to zero out the check in count for specific check-in records.

I don’t have a “check-in records” tab 🙁 Is there something I need to enable? Thanks!

Missing tab

Hi Samantha,

That tab is shown when you view individual check-in records.

From you screenshot above if you hover over the Check-in record you can then click ‘View’ – http://take.ms/vxZJw

You can then delete individual check-in records by checking the checkbox and selecting ‘Delete check-in rows’ from the bulk action and clicking ‘Apply’.
