When I am looking at a single event page, there are arrows on the left and right side of the page that allow for clicking through events. Unfortunately when I click through, it shows also expired events.

However, I have chosen the settings as follows, so this should not be happening:

Hi,
The arrows on the left and right are actually added by your WordPress theme, and they’re designed more for navigating through blog posts. Are you intending to remove those for event posts, or do you want to filter the navigation so only upcoming events are linked to?

The owner of the website gave me both options. Is it easy to filter the navigation for only active events?

To change the navigation so it only links to upcoming and active events, you can add the code from this gist to the site:

You can add the above to a functions plugin or, if available, into your WordPress child theme’s functions.php file.
