Hi
We are trying to decide whether to get the Event Espresso app for a client. Our main needs are:
1) Event tickets (which your app covers nicely) and attendee list creation for different events
2) membership login (which I know is covered by the new add on) but being able to add custom fields for the membership profile like date of birth, child’s name, etc.
3) Being able to sell tickets to webinars and then sending someone the link to view a webinar. We plan to use WebinarJam or GotoWebinar
4) Most important: Being able to accept payments through Moneris… is this available now in EE4?
5) Being able to register for classes – so not a one time only event but a course where there are 8 classes over 8 weeks.
6) making very customized registration forms (being able to add drop down menus and radio buttons.
Please let me know if the app can cover the needs above.

thanks
AZ

Hi there,

1) Event tickets (which your app covers nicely) and attendee list creation for different events

Attendee lists on the front end or through the admin?

EE provides a CSV you can download that lists all ‘Approved’ and ‘Pending Payment’ registrations on the event.

2) membership login (which I know is covered by the new add on) but being able to add custom fields for the membership profile like date of birth, child’s name, etc.

EE does not add any additional custom fields to the Users profile so this would require some custom development.

3) Being able to sell tickets to webinars and then sending someone the link to view a webinar. We plan to use WebinarJam or GotoWebinar

Currently EE does not integrate with any webinar system however you could setup the registration as a standard event and include the details for the webinar within the confirmation email

Would that work?

4) Most important: Being able to accept payments through Moneris… is this available now in EE4?

No directly, however Moneris is listed on the available gateways through Mijireh (which we have as an available payment method):

http://www.mijireh.com/docs/payment-gateways/

5) Being able to register for classes – so not a one time only event but a course where there are 8 classes over 8 weeks.

There’s a few ways to set this but yes it is possible.

If each class is to be setup as a separate event then you will need to use the EE4 Multi Event Registration Add-on.

If it’s a single course with multiple dates (single event with multiple ‘datetimes’) then it can be done within the single event itself.

6) making very customized registration forms (being able to add drop down menus and radio buttons.

EE allows you to add additional custom questions and ‘question groups’ within the registration form:

Have you registered to Test Drive Event Espresso 4? You can view how the full plugin works there to get a feel for how the above works.
