Apply Refund questions

1. Why is there an Apply Payment button on transaction detail.
2. When we click Apply Refund, does this up update EE4 records? What is updated? Do we have to contact Authorize.net and refund the transaction as well or does this update Authorize.net?

Hello,

The Apply Payment button lets you apply payments that may have occurred outside of the registration checkout process.

The Apply Refund button will update the registration transaction with the amount that you set the refund for. This does not currently process the refund in Authorizenet. You would need to apply the refund in Event Espresso and Authorizenet so that the numbers match up.
