Should the EE4 app work with Event Espresso 5.0? We are running EE version 5.0.19 and seeing permission errors when logging into the EE4 app. The message shows various permissions missing including ee_read_events. All works for the login in the past and when accessing the website. I’ve verified the capabilities. Even my administrator account is throwing the error when logging into the app. I’ve reviewed some posts here and also see the json responses return events using this url but not when changing the version in the path…

https://www.site.com/wp-json/ee/v4.8.36/events/

If this should still work, how can I further troubleshoot?

Hi there,

/ee/v4.8.36/events/

Is the EE REST API version number and that’s the latest version.

Any time there is a change to the REST API we mark that with the current version number, there hasn’t been any changes to it since 4.8.36 so that’s the current version.

The above error can happen if the app can’t authenticate and that can happen for a few reasons.

Can you send me temp login details I can use within the app to so I can capture the request/response and see if anything stands out?

If so just use this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

Hello,

Can you increase our log-in capability so we can install and deactivate plugin? or do you have staging site where we can do some test?

If you mind, please update the form with FTP too.

thanks

Hi, I have created two new accounts with login details sent to support@eventespresso.com. One account as an administrator of our live website and the other is on our staging server. Let me know if you need something more or have any issues. Thanks for the help!

We have the updates scheduled for directly after our big event happening this weekend. However, this is actually working after deactivating the Login Lockdown plugin. Thanks for your help.
