Hello Alan,

When you say “App”, are you referring to the mobile apps (iOS and Android)?

We currently don’t have White-Labeling features at this time.

Thanks Johnathan,

Yes the iPhone & Android ticketing apps. Is this in the pipeline? Its something a lot of dev licenece holdings would like to see I think.

Let me ask the developers, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Alan,

I discussed this with the developers, and was informed that we will not be able to accommodate a non-EE branded mobile app because of app store restrictions. We wouldn’t be able to submit the app to the app stores multiple time, which would be a requirement in order to white-label it.

Alan,

We’ve discusses with the developers an option where you can change the name, logo and colors of the app itself after you have it downloaded. But but we wouldn’t be able to submit a new app to the app stores with just a logo or name change. Would something like that work for you? We’ve considered adding it but would like to have a customer help sponsor that development.

hi Garth,
I would be giving the app to event organisers so it would not be me downloading.
What about a generic app for everyone with no branding? or would you make the neccessary ccode available to devlopers to upload on their app accounts with apple/android?

tks
alan

Do the event organizers have their own website running the ticketing addon?

Well, the code is proprietary, and would have to be licensed if we were to release the code for you to add to the app store.

What aversion do you have to using an app branded with Event Espresso? That is part of the reason we offered it for free, is because we expected people to become familiar with our brand.

Hi Garth,

No all events are listed on my website. I will give them access to their events on my website.

How much would you charge for the code?

I understand you are trying to get people familiar with your brand. However the reason I went for the full developer is to create a site matching our existing brand. I think a lot of people who are developing systems with you software at the core would like to keep their branding entirely?? I think there is a case for a non branded App which those with full developer licenses can use.

Cheers

Alan

Hi Alan,

Thanks for your feedback.

We realize that this is something a few people might like to see, but it is against the app store terms to release duplicated apps. Also, we have already spent over $15k, out of our own pockets, to build the current iOS and Android apps.

The best we can do is pay our app developer to make the iOS app rebrandable using some files that are stored on your server. However, that will most likely cost us several thousand dollars and hold up other projects. Since we receive very little, if any, revenue from from our mobile ticketing apps. We will most likely need contributions from the Event Espresso community to make something like this happen.
