Hello!
In my registration form I added a custom field called “Geburtsdatum”.
Now I want add the answer to the mail send after registration.
I added following shortcode to the section [ATTENDEE_EMAIL] [ANSWER_*Geburtsdatum].
But when I send a test mail the value always is empty.

Hi there,

May I ask where you’ve added the shortcode? Can you post a screenshot of it?

Thank you, so that should work.

Is that string an exact match?

Can you link me to the event you have the above question assigned to so I can add a test registration to it and view your questions?

Ok, so first, how are you sending a test email?

If you are using the send test email function within the template then the test data will not contain an answer for that question. You’ll need to add a test registration to your event and trigger the registration approved message to view it.

Also, the screenshot you have included is for the ‘Event Admin’ context, meaning it’s the message sent to the event admin by default (unless you have changed the TO field to a registrant, which I do NOT recommend doing).

So are you checking the correct ‘context’ when viewing this and are you using the test feature or a real registration?

Hello!
You are right, I sent the mail with the function in the temps.
On the website it works.
This is very confusing and I could not find any information about that a

My apologies for the confusion.

I’ve made a note to see if we can add some additional documentation on this in the future.
