Hi Jon,

What error do you see within the app?

It says

Website URL is invlaid. IT should be like http://demo.org or demo.org

Then it says OK

This pops up in a white box

Thanks

Hi there,

May I ask which version of the Android app, version of WordPress, and version of Event Espresso that you have?

Hi Jon,

Can you contact your host to see if they can increase the limit for max_allowed_packet?
https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.5/en/server-system-variables.html#sysvar_max_allowed_packet

Will contact the host and see if they can look at this

Thanks

Been in contact and unfortunately because we are on a shared server it is not possible to change these values

Would there be anything else I can try

Thanks

Hello,

We’ve made some changes in the latest release to improve compatibility across different hosting platforms. Could you confirm that this works in the latest release of Event Espresso 4 (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/)?

If you do not see an update notice, then you can go to Event Espresso –> General Settings and save changes.

That will trigger a check for updated software.

Hi Lorenzo

I have done this and it has upgraded to the latest version of Event Espresso but still have the same problem with the Android app

Is it still on Version 1.0 or has this got an upgrade?

Would it be worth uninstalling and re-installing?

Thanks

It will not help because what’s happening is something on your site is preventing authentication. It might be another plugin, an .htaccess rule, or an error that’s thrown when the app tries to authenticate.

We can investigate further if you can send WordPress admin level log in credentials and (s)FTP credentials via the contact form on this page:
