So when someone registers for an event, instead of getting my custom registration email that I have put into the general setting of the plugin they get sent a generic email which in it says
“Thank you xxx for registering for xxx Event. We hope that you will find this event both informative and enjoyable. Should have any questions, please contact xxx@emailaddress.

Your questions:
First Name:
I do not want my attendees to get this email instead I want them to get my custom email address. How do I do this. I don’t really understand why my custom email not being sent.
Choose the “I am sending login info as requested” option and fill out the form
Regarding your question, in an individual events edit page, scroll down to the bottom and there is a section where you can create and email that is solely for that event, no others.
In Event Espresso > General Settings > Email Settings change Use fancy email headers to Yes.
This will make the emails show from the website name rather than the generic WordPress. Please note that you need to check that this doesn’t affect email deliverability as some servers don’t like it.
