I was able to setup my “Classes” very well using the recurring events management and also have multiple attendees working really nicely with it as well. When the cart shows all the information and totals it still accounts for my early registration discount, calculated the amount of users properly UNTIL i get to the final payment page. This is where it only shows the price for 1 user. Not sure if I were to check all the way out if it would just charge the 1 user or the accurate amount. On the screen where I should put my payment it says: Your registration is not complete until payment is received. My event is $295 with a 10% discount for early registration (total of $265.50). So the actual amount due should be $531 when 2 users register. any ideas? |
Hi Kevin, Which version of Event Espresso is installed? Make sure you have the very latest version installed. |
|
|
I actually updated it today but I didn’t test this out prior to my upgrading, so not sure if the issue existed before hand? I’m using: Version 3.1.24.2.P I also was using paypal sandbox and after clicking submit on the order I did get an error (which I know is related to my paypal setup) but in the amount it tried to charge it was accurate. So it seems like the gateway is trying to process the right amount, just the label on the final payment confirmation page only reflects 1 users worth of sign up and not a real total of all attendees. |
Okay, check in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates for templates that may have been copied over from the previous version. Try renaming that directory if there are any files in there. |

OK, that would make sense then cause I am using the templates. I haven’t altered too much, so I should be able to maintain my customizations. thanks for the great support Josh, I’ll be sure to reply here with the confirmation. |

It actually got worse, lol. Here is a pic of the verification screen when I’m using the older template files ( is there anyway to find out what version these template files are from?) which shows the correct Total value. Then when I confirm registration and go to the final payment page (still using the old template files), I see this: So I took your advice and replaced the “templates” folder (while renaming my old template folder to backup) and now on the first screen it only shows 1 attendees worth of values and seems to have taken a step backwards. thanks for any help or advice Josh. I can do a screen cast if that would help? |
Make sure the add-ons are up to date, particularly the groupon and members add-ons if these are installed. |
|
|
I’ve double checked my add ons and I didn’t have the latest members add-on. I updated to 1.9.3 but this did not take any affect and still shows the total for just 1 attendee. I wasn’t using the groupon but i enabled it and downloaded the latest anyways just incase, still no luck. π surprised no one else is having this issue. this a new site on my local dev so I’ve yet to really do too much or try and bend any of the template files. |
Do you have any older gateway files in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways? Which payment gateway option is active? The reason I ask is I’m not able to reproduce this on my test install, I have PayPal sandbox and Stripe active on this one. |
|
|
I currently have the paypal pro (set to sandbox) activated and the “invoice” payment options. I have the invoice set to “don’t show on checkout”. Would the gateways impact even on the “confirmation_display.php” template? I don’t mind moving the site to a public dev server and granting you access if thats an option? |
The gateways would not impact the confirmation page template. I would advise uploading a fresh copy of Event Espresso that you can download from your account page, and ensure that nothing is loading up from /wp-content/uploads/espresso/. |

OK, i’ve downloaded the latest from my account page 3.1.24.2.P and I backed up my template folder, cleared it out, made sure permissions were OK across the board. In the admin I get the prompt to move my files over to the template directory (which indicates EE is using the default template files bundled with the core plugin) and still the same wrong total. When I “confirm registration’ the payment entry page shows the wrong value too. If I go all the way to final checkout it shows its trying to charge the Correct amount. With my old template files the number was correct on the confirmation_display but not the latest template files along with the payment template. Sorry to keep buggin you Josh, I appreciate your help and time. Especially if the issue isn’t happening on your end. |

Amazing, thanks for the prompt reply and am also super happy that it appears I’m not taking crazy pills π |
We should have an update up shortly. It looks like something didn’t get merged properly, so we just need to test out trunk and we should have it released soon. |

The software update is ready and can be downloaded from your account page. |
