Hi,
I wanted to re-open a topic from a couple years back for a client. https://eventespresso.com/topic/alpha-sorting-custom-messages/
They would like to be able to alpha sort EE -> Messages -> Custom message templates. I know previously there was no snippet to enable this and I wanted to see if anything had changed!

Hi there,
Sorting Custom Templates by name in Event Espresso -> Messages -> Custom Message Templates, is possible with a snippet BUT the sorting will not work by default.
Meaning you can add a snippet like this to your site:

You can add that to a custom functions plugin on your site, we have some documentation on creating one here:

That snippet sets the Template name column to be sortable, so you can click on it to order by name ASC/DESC:

However, it will not sort by Template name by default whe you click on Event Espresso -> Messages -> Custom Message Templates, you’ll need to click on the column name to set the order afterwards.
In your previous thread you highlighted the batch message modal listing the custom batch messages alphabetically, currently that isn’t possible without modifying the code. We may be able to add a filter to the query parameters used there to allow for this, I’ll check with the developers.
