We also collect payments by cheque and cash – is there any way to mark registrants as ‘payment forthcoming’ and allow them to take one of the seats in the class?
As it stands now, they go to ‘Pending Payment’, but don’t take a seat. So if the event sells out before they get a cheque or cash to us, they are out of luck even though they registered early.
I realize cash and cheques are antiquated. Please don’t laugh. 😉

Haha, really? Who uses cheques? (Just kidding)
In order for the registrations to take a seat you would need to set the Default Registration Status of the event to be Approved (only Approved registrations take a seat). This would mean that any registration made on the event would be Approved by default, the admin would need to monitor the registrations and check the transactions statuses to confirm payments had been made.
The worse case then would be the event prematurely showed as sold out and you would need to confirm the payments/registrations to free up spaces again.
Would that work for you?

Yes – I sort of figured at SOME point there’d be some extra work done on our end! I just wanted to make sure there was no alternate solution before I start my tracking spreadsheet – thank you!
